Four parties stand around one event. Two of them pay, the photographers bring the photos, and the people in the photos pay nothing. That is the whole business, and it is why the photos are free.
Built in South Korea, where over 200,000 runners have signed up. The first US pilots run this September, in New York and Washington, DC.
Fifteen seconds they cannot skip, at the moment they see themselves. Bought by the event, in two-week slots.
Ad inventory For event organizersYour finishers leave with their photos the same night and post them. That is next year's campaign, made by the people who ran this year's.
Photo searchFour parties stand around one event. Two of them pay, the photographers bring the photos, and the people in the photos pay nothing. That is the whole business, and it is why the photos are free.
Pay per event for the entry system and the photo search. Entries sell on the platform, runners scan in at the gate, and every finisher gets their photos the same evening.
Shoot the event and upload the same day, most of them on their own. Where an event needs every participant covered, we send a crew. The copyright on every frame stays theirs.
One selfie, one second, download. Nothing to pay. Then they post it, and the event gets promoted by the people who were there.
Pay for two-week ad slots inside that flow. They reach people who were actually at that event on that day, not a lookalike audience.
What organizers and brands pay runs the platform. That is the reason the people in the photos are never asked for money, and the reason each side gets more out of the event than it puts in.
South Korea. Service database, September 7, 2026, with sign-ups updated September 10, 2026. Ages are calculated from the 92% of accounts that carry a date of birth.
Signups follow the racing calendar. October 2025 was the busiest month at 25,628 new runners; January 2026 was the quietest at 814. Cumulative is the number that holds. The app ranked first in the Sports category on the Korean App Store.
Cumulative signups plotted at quarter ends, March 2025 through September 2026.
For brands and agencies
Advertising here is sold by the event, not by the country. Not an inferred interest, but the people who were actually at that event, on the day it happened. Events run in South Korea today, and the first US pilots run this September, in New York and Washington, DC.
| Event | Runners who claimed photos | Photo views |
|---|---|---|
| Seoul Marathon 2026 | 19,404 | 3,800,000 |
| Seoul Half Marathon 2026 | 13,375 | 1,860,000 |
| THE RACE SEOUL 21K 2026 (half marathon) | 11,844 | 410,000 |
What counts is how many people you reach at that event, not how many exist in the country. Across South Korea: about 200,000 signed up, 102,322 have run a face search, and 91.7% are between 20 and 49 (30s 45%, 40s 27%, 20s 20%).
Every figure below is from a campaign that actually ran, reported at the end of the campaign. Slots are sold by period, so reach and impressions are what happened rather than what was promised.
Impressions are ad renders. People reached are unique accounts. Watched to the end counts videos that played through the search wait, which has no skip button. Conversion rate on reach is ad conversions divided by people reached.

Main sponsor of the 2026 Seoul Marathon, running its EVO SL campaign on OURSYMBOL to put the brand in front of the race's own participants.

Launching a new running SKU, it needed a medium aimed at sports and running. The fit with the OURSYMBOL audience built awareness for the new product.

A Korean protein-shake brand. A conversion campaign tied to the Disney Run IP and built around women buyers, with a promotion page for OURSYMBOL users only.

A Korean travel-booking app promoting a comedy concert package to people who had just run a race tied to a hit TV show, with the creative split-tested.

A Korean beer. On-site alcohol advertising is banned at the major marathons, so a digital banner campaign stood in for the on-site booth.

To give the iPhone 17 Pro a lifestyle context, it ran against participants at sports events.
Brands that have run with us
Global names first: Apple, adidas, New Balance, Under Armour, HOKA and lululemon. The rest are Korean brands. The numbers above are outcomes, not guarantees.
Every one of them sits inside the act of finding a photo, so the person looking is not scrolling past. Two reach everyone who opens the app. Three reach only the people at that event.

Event participantsA sixth slot is a question rather than an ad. The interactive survey runs while the search is working, and among people waiting on their own photos it has come back at a 100% response rate. Organizers put their own questions in the same slot. Every slot runs for two weeks, takes an A/B test, allows one creative swap mid-campaign, and reports weekly while it runs.
How buying works: one slot runs two weeks and ten slots open a month. Tell us your budget and timing and we propose the mix.

For event organizers
Runners enter on OURSYMBOL and you watch it sell. You scan them in on the morning. That evening every finisher has their own photos, while they still want to post them. Registration, payments, check-in, photos, community and sponsor advertising run on one platform.
Participants find the event, choose a ticket and pay on OURSYMBOL. You watch it sell as it sells, then scan them in at the gate. Live since November 2025, on everything from a single-course road race to a two-day event selling eleven classes.

Bib search ran first at Red Bull 400 in September 2026, where runners climb a ski jump bent forward and their bibs are hard to read. It still found 230 photos that face search alone had missed, 9.4% more photos in all, for 130 runners.

The same photo is worth a different amount depending on when it arrives.
Every photo a finisher posts is promotion you did not pay for. Multiply that by your finisher count. Putting the photos in their hands is the cheapest promotion your event will run.
It began as the photo platform people open after a marathon or a trail race. Indoor fitness racing, triathlon and badminton followed, and the pattern holds anywhere a lot of people get photographed on the same day. Brand pop-ups and a medical conference have run on it too. The first US pilots run this September, in New York and Washington, DC.
All in South Korea. Recent events include the 2026 Seoul Marathon, Jangsu Trail Race Spring, REXTREME by Rocket Battery, the 22nd Daegu Mayor's Cup National Triathlon and the 2025 Spyder Badminton Super Series Seoul. Photographer count and monthly actives are as reported in April 2026.
| Event | Result | What happened |
|---|---|---|
Jangsu Trail Race |
47% more sharing |
April 2025. 64,108 photos went out the same day, and sharing rose 47% after adoption. |
REXTREME |
63,119 photos in a day |
Delivered within 24 hours of the finish. 500 posts that used to take a year accumulated in a single month, and the words people used around the brand moved from car battery and battery replacement to challenge, gratitude, cheering and training. |
| Race to the Stones | 1,700 of 1,995 shared |
A UK ultra. 1,700 of 1,995 finishers shared their photos, an 85% share rate, and those posts drew about 2.25 million impressions on Facebook alone. |
Photographers upload in batches from the evening of the event. Runners pull their own shots out of tens of thousands with a face search and share them on the spot.
